ON A wall in the bar at Emley is a photograph including a small boy clutching a scarf on a day when he was mascot.
He went to watch games at a ground he could see from his bedroom window in a house next door.
The original outfit played in the Northern Premier League’s top flight at the time, and last weekend the new club celebrated promotion back there after the same youngster from the picture scored a decisive penalty.
