ATHERTON Collieries have made a magnificent seven signings as they gear up for the NPL West season.
Manager Danny Lafferty has stiffened his backline with 23-year-old former Trafford centre-back Jack Sloan and 26-year-old centre-half Essa Janneh, who was most recently with Ashton United.
Freddie Gordon has returned to the Colls, having had a loan from Morecambe towards the end of last season. Also returning is fellow midfielder Remi Efunnuga, borrowed from Ashton United last season, while Harry Forshaw steps up from Daisy Hill.
