KIERON Dyer is backing winger Ryan Colclough to silence his doubters and become a hit at Southend United after signing a one-year deal at Roots Hall.
Colclough, 31, was handed a two-year suspended prison sentence earlier this month after being found guilty of grievous bodily harm without intent at Derby Crown Court.
He had been without a club since leaving AFC Fylde in January and previously worked with Shrimpers boss Dyer at Chesterfield as the Spireites won the National League title under Paul Cook in 2023-24.
