STEVE Watson has secured the return of midfielder Sam
Hetherington to his Darlington squad on a one-year deal.
The 20-year-old spent the second half of the 2024-25 season on loan from Workington, making 16 appearances and scoring two goals.
He started his career at Carlisle United as a youngster in their academy, where he made three first-team appearances.
Watson said: “Sam is a player we know well – a good character and very hungry.
“He’s a really good addition, hopefully he’ll make a big impact for us.”
