Tom Lees has moved to his hometown club Harrogate Town following his summer exit from Peterborough United.

Tom Lees says he shunned offers to remain in the EFL for the chance to take hometown club Harrogate Town back to the big time.

Lees, 35, has joined Simon Weaver’s Sulphurites following a 700-game career that encompassed a decade in the Championship with Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield Town.
Released by Peterborough at the end of last season, the centre-back had no shortage of opportunities, but the prospect of playing for a club within spitting distance of his family home proved too tempting to turn down.
