Waltham Abbey almost dumped Dagenham & Redbridge out of the competition, in an exciting encounter in Essex.
This was the first-ever competitive encounter between the Southern League Division One Central side and their illustrious National League South opponents.
“I am so proud of the lads today,” Abbotts boss Mark Weatherstone said.
“I’m delighted we will get another chance to have another go in Tuesday night’s replay.”

The first real chance came on the half-hour mark, when Anthony close with superb efforts on the Daggers’ goal.
