A NON-LEAGUE goalkeeper jailed for drug offences this week has been offered a ray of hope by the chairman of his last club.
Daniel Roccia, 36, was sentenced to 12 years and four months in prison at Preston Crown Court on Thursday having pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply cocaine.
He had been dual-registered with the Mintcakes at the time of his arrest in early 2023 when both of his clubs – Kendal Town and Bamber Bridge – withdrew him from action. The FA also stepped in with a ban.
