REF ERROR COSTS OLD BOYS

HOLKER Old Boys have expressed their “deep disappointment” at being ordered to replay their Isuzu FA Vase first round tie at Wythenshawe – because of a referee’s mistake.
They won 4-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw last Saturday, only to be told that the official had made an error during the shoot-out.
After Wythenshawe player Will Calligan was sent off, Holker were asked to leave out one of their own players from the shoot-out, and selected spare goalkeeper Matt Bailey who was told he would not take a spot-kick.
