Justin Edinburgh hails prolific Macauley Bonne

After 86 minutes of action a stalemate looked to be in place in the battle between promotion chasers and on Saturday….However just when it looked as if Orient would be returning to East London with just a solitary point, up stepped their prolific marksman Macauley Bonne once again.
The 23-year-old reacted quickest in the box to rifle an effort into the roof of the net and send the traveling fans into pandemonium.
That was the Zimbabwe international's 15th goal of the campaign and put him level with current National League top goalscorer Adam Rooney.
James Brophy then put the result beyond doubt in injury time with a lobbed effort to send Orient three points clear at the top of the table.
Following the full-time whistle, manager Justin Edinburgh was full of praise for his start striker, telling the club's official website,  “When it falls in the box there's one person you want to see it falling to and that's Macauley Bonne.
“That's why he's the player he is and he dispatched it incredibly well.”
The front man is following on from another successful season last year, where he found the net 22 times in 44 appearances to help the O's to a 13th place finish.
Bonne will be hoping to add to his tally as the National League leaders face strugglers tonight.
