Wrexham bring in striker Cole Stockton on loan from Tranmere Rovers

Wrexham have signed striker Cole Stockton on-loan from League Two side Tranmere Rovers until the end of the season.
A Merseyside native, the 24-year-old striker came through the youth system at Tranmere spending time on-loan at Southport in the National League and Vauxhall Motors in the National League North before breaking in to the first team.
Wrexham strengthened their squad last week with the permanent signing of Bobby Grant from Fleetwood Town, but fell to a surprise defeat at home to lowly Dover Athletic on Saturday.
2016-17 saw Stockton score 13 goals in 23 appearances for Tranmere and 10 goals in 26 appearances after switching to League Two club Morecambe.
This form caught the eye of SPL side Hearts of Midothian where he spent the first half of the 2017-18 season before a switch to Carlisle United of League Two.
He made the leap back to Tranmere at the begging of this season where he has made four League Two appearances.
The club have submitted the necessary paperwork and applied for international clearance with a view of him being available for our game at Bromley on tomorrow night.
Manager Graham Barrow commented: “Cole is a different type of striker to Jason Oswell who signed on Saturday so that gives us more options in that department now.
“Cole did very well in this division for Tranmere in his last spell there and he knows exactly what is required to challenge at the top end of the table. I'm delighted he's here. Hopefully he'll be available to play on Tuesday.”
