Sutton draft in Ziger on loan

Ziger signed a professional contract with Chelsea this summer.

Sutton draft
Sutton United have completed the signing of highly rated goalkeeper Karlo Ziger on loan from Premier League club Chelsea until the end of the season.
With Jamie Butler injured and Ross Worner cup-tied in the FA Trophy, Ziger is likely to go straight into the side for the U’s trip to National League North high flyers Spennymoor Town tomorrow.
The 17-year-old shot stopper, who  has represented Croatia at under 17 level, signed a professional contract with the Blues this summer.
Ziger made twelve appearances for Chelsea’s Under 18 side last season and kept a clean sheet in the FA Youth Cup semi final second leg against Birmingham.
