Darren Carter signs new contract with Solihull Moors

have tied down captain Darren Carter until June 2020.
In line with his new deal, Carter will also take on an ambassadorial role for the Moors, which includes promoting the club in the community and at events.
The 35-year-old has played a key part in Solihull's rise from relegation battlers to title challengers since joining in 2017.
Carter has made 39 appearances this season in all competitions, scoring two goals and is just 12 away from reaching a century in Moors colours.
He is part of a first-team leadership trio with Kyle Storer and Liam Daly and is the academy manager.
He told the club's website: “Whenever you agree a new deal or sign a new contract, I think it's a case that you're enjoying yourself and you're helping the Club progress.
“After speaking with the Gaffer, Darryl (Eales) and Calvin (Barnett), they wanted me here next year and I wanted to be here.
“It was something that was done pretty quickly, which I was glad about. I'm really excited to be part of the change that is going on at the Club.
“There's plenty of positive stuff behind-the-scenes and on the pitch we're performing – we're in a great position at the moment.”
Manager Tim Flowers said: “We've tried to tick the lads off and tried to tie them down for next season.
“We've got some real good pros here but he's (Carter) probably the best pro at the Club. He's in fantastic condition, he looks after himself and he's played at the highest level.
“He's a credit to the football club and to himself. We're delighted to have him and he's one of the go-to players for me when I make sure that everyone's happy.
“He's fully deserved his extension. We're delighted to have him tied down, we're delighted that he's committed to us and he's a fans favourite.”
