Wrexham have looked to strengthen their title charge in the National League with the signing of Anthony Spyrou on loan from Championship high flyers Norwich City until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old frontman is a product of the youth academy at Carrow Road and signed professional terms with the Norfolk club in January of this year.
Spyrou has caught the eye whilst playing for the Norwich Under 23 side this season, finding the net seven times in 15 Premier League 2 outings.
Speaking to Wrexham’s official club website, manager Bryan Hughes said,: “Anthony is a highly-rated youngster who has come up through the ranks at Norwich, putting in some very impressive performances along the way.
“We are looking forward to him joining in with the squad and helping us during the last seven games of the season.”
Wrexham are currently sitting just a point adrift of league leaders Leyton Orient following the Welsh side’s narrow 1-0 victory at home to Maidenhead at the weekend.
