Wrexham AFC have completed the signing of former Newport County right-back Jazzi Barnum-Bobb on a one-year deal.
The 23-year-old has been training at the National League club since the start of pre-season and has impressed boss Bryan Hughes in a several friendlies over the past few weeks, featuring against Cefn Druids, Fleetwood Town and AFC Telford United.
The Enfield-born full-back, who is a product of Watford’s academy has played the majority of his career in the EFL at fellow Welsh sides Cardiff City and Newport County, with a loan spell at Torquay United between clubs.
Barnum-Bobb left the Exiles in February 2018 for personal reasons and took up playing for National League South side Chelmsford City during March 2018.
Barnum-Bobb told the Wrexham website: “I’m delighted to get the move sorted after there being a hold up with the paperwork during the past few weeks.
“I’ve enjoyed my time training here at Wrexham and the aim was to get a contract at the end of it, so I am really happy to officially sign here and can’t wait to get started.
“When the chance came along to train at Wrexham, with it being a massive club in the league and after doing so well last season, it was a no brainer to see if I could come and impress.
“The manager has put his faith in me and given me a deal, I’ve enjoyed working with Bryan and I can’t wait to get started with the style he wants us to play in. I like to bring energy, in terms of both attacking and defending, I hope to bring some more assists and score a few goals too, we’ll see.”
