IMP-VASION DOCKS IN AT PORT BUT COWLEY IS DENIED

ALMOST 2,500 Lincoln City fans made the journey to Southport to see the recently-crowned champions sign off from the National League.
Lincoln’s first match after relegation from the Football League in 2011 was at Southport, so it was perhaps fitting that their six-year stay in Non-League football should come to an end here.

The travelling fans filled two terraces as they watched their team bring down the curtain on a brilliant season, although a late equaliser from Neil Ashton meant they finished one short of the 100-point mark.
