JOHN McCombe’s 15thminute header was enough to hand Hyde their first away win of the season against a frustrated Whitby.
In-form Junior Mondal, scorer of the home side’s last five goals, hammered a freekick over early on but the North West outfit struck from the first-set piece of the afternoon. It was a free header from a corner that saw the ex-Huddersfield defender nod home what proved to be the winner.
