NINE-MAN Welling clung on to claim a point against St Albans City at Park View Road in an eventful see-saw match.
After Danny Mills and Arnaud Mendy had been sent off, St Albans had just over 15 minutes plus injury time to win the game but Welling’s defence held firm.
In the first minute Mills headed wide from Brendan Kiernan’s cross but it was the visitors who drew first blood. Sam Merson headed back across goal and Zane Banton headed the ball in.
