MAX WORSFOLD’S dramatic stoppage-time freekick sealed a deserved win for Slough, in agame where all the decisive action was packed into the very late stages.
The hosts dominated possession from the very early stages but were unable to find a breakthrough, with Jack McKnight’s calmly taken finish ruled out for offside in the first half. On 70 minutes, Louis Lomas almost found the net in spectacular fashion.
He controlled the ball with his knee on the edge of the penalty box before unleashing a scintillating strike against the Bath post.
