HARTLEPOOL United gained swift revenge for their FA Trophy defeat to FC Halifax Town with a solid victory to lift them to third in the National League table.
Seven days after the Shaymen beat Pools on penalties – and before the sides meet in the league again on January 2 – Pools this time came out on top.
