A LATE salvo ensured Boreham Wood forced their way into into the National League play-off positions at the expense of a much- improved Oldham Athletic.
Goals from Jack Payne and Dennon Lewis capped a solid Wood display which saw them maintain their unbeaten start to 2023.
Luke Garrard’s men perhaps just shaded an otherwise scrappy fixture which leaned the home side’s way on 80 minutes when Payne’s drilled strike from distance nestled into the far corner.
