Two debut goals in three second-half minutes from Emmanuel Dieseruvwe were enough to give Rochdale all three points against newly-promoted Boreham Wood.
Rochdale manager Jimmy McNulty said: “We had to be patient today against a well-organised side. It was an excellent debut for Dierseruwe, who took both his goals well.”
A disappointed Boreham Wood Manager Luke Garrard told The NLP: “The game was decided in both boxes.
“Rochdale were clinical. In turn, some [of] our decision-making in the Rochdale area was disappointing.”
