BRACKLEY Town and Gateshead maintained their mid-table positions after a goalless game that was nonetheless full of incident.
The eighth-minute red card shown to Brackley defender Zak Lilly for denying a goal-scoring opportunity ultimately determined the course of the game.
Gavin Cowan’s Saints had to work hard with ten men as Gateshead enjoyed the lion’s share of possession, and yet it was the home side with the better chances in the first half as the Heed laboured to take advantage of the extra player.
