Carlisle United climbed to the top of the National League table midweek, and Mark Hughes’ side will take centre stage this weekend against Southend United.

The Cumbrians are on a roll, adding to their FA Cup triumph over Reading – where Regan Linney netted a hat-trick against the League One side – with a 2-0 midweek victory over FC Halifax Town.

Forest Green Rovers, meanwhile, aim to bounce back from a dramatic 4-3 cup defeat to Luton Town when they travel to Aldershot Town on Saturday.

Here’s how to watch both games and catch the action live.

Aldershot Town vs Forest Green Rovers

Saturday 8 November, Kick off 12:30pm

The National League action kicks off this Saturday lunchtime, as Forest Green look to get their promotion bid back on track at Aldershot.

Robbie Savage’s men have slipped to fifth place in the table after only winning one of their last five games, but with the top end of the division so tight, they are still only four points off league leaders Carlisle.

They go to Aldershot with some small momentum, too, having taken Luton to the limit in the FA Cup and beaten fellow promotion contenders Boreham Wood in their last league outing.

They’ll fancy their chances at the Recreation Ground too, as they face a Shots team who are in freefall after the midweek defeat to Boreham Wood became their fourth defeat in a row.

Carlisle United vs Southend United

Saturday 8 November, Kick off 5:30pm

The National League and DAZN will make history on Saturday by screening the first-ever live football game on TikTok, as league leaders Carlisle United visit Essex to play Southend.

The game will be live on the @dazn_nationalleague TikTok channel and it sees a confident Carlisle head south, leading the division following their win over Halifax in midweek.

Hughes’ men are now unbeaten in five and even had time to dump Reading out of the FA Cup last weekend, but face a Southend side who are in equally good form.

Last year’s play-off runners-up sit just inside the top seven and haven’t tasted defeat for five games, fuelling their charge for another promotion push.
