All eyes will be on the National League this weekend, with action elsewhere in the country taking a break for the internationals, as English football celebrates Non-League Day.
Set up in 2010, Non-League Day provides a platform for clubs in the National League and below, the chance to promote the importance of affordable volunteer-led community football while giving fans across the country the chance to show support for their local Non-League side.
Now an annual part of the football calendar that coincides with international weekends, it’s backed by Premier League and Football League clubs, MPs, celebrities, media organisations, charities and most importantly, the Non-League clubs themselves.
With the spotlight on the grassroots game, a pivotal weekend awaits across the fifth tier.

Braintree Town vs Carlisle United
Kick off at 3pm GMT on Saturday, March 28th 2026 (Live on DAZN)
Braintree Town and Carlisle United will be fighting for opposite reasons when they do battle in the National League this weekend.
The Iron are embroiled in a relegation battle after a woeful second half of the season and need to build some form if they want to remain in the division.
As for the Cumbrians, they are eyeing a top-three finish that would ensure they swerve a play-off eliminator at the end of April.

FC Halifax Town vs Scunthorpe United
Kick off at 3pm GMT on Saturday, March 28th 2026 (Live on DAZN)
Two sides hopeful of achieving promotion via the play-offs meet in the National League as FC Halifax Town host Scunthorpe United.
The Shaymen are competing for seventh place along with Southend United and Hartlepool United, but only one will likely snatch the final play-off spot.
As for the Iron, they have enough of a cushion on the chasing pack to be sure of a top-seven finish, while they remain optimistic of catching third-place Carlisle.
Sutton United vs Rochdale
Kick off at 3pm GMT on Saturday, March 28th 2026 (Live on DAZN)
Sutton United and Rochdale will be fighting for very different reasons when they meet in the National League this weekend.
The Dale are involved in a two-horse title race with York City, which looks destined to go to the wire, and they simply cannot afford any slip-ups.
As for the U’s, they are battling to remain in the division, but given their cushion over the bottom four, it would be a shock if they were to go down.

York City vs Woking
Kick off at 3pm GMT on Saturday, March 28th 2026 (Live on DAZN)
York will be expected to maintain their National League title charge when they face a strong Woking side on Saturday afternoon.
The Minstermen are in a two-horse title race with Rochdale, but with only one automatic promotion spot available, it really could go down to the wire.
While the Cards technically have nothing to play for, they have delivered some superb performances and results of late, meaning they should provide a stern test for the Minstermen.
