Passionate Josh Barrett lit up Wembley with a wondergoal to seal FA Trophy glory – and then urged the Aldershot Town board to back manager Tommy Widdrington in the transfer market.
The 26-year-old has enjoyed an impressive first season at the EBB Stadium, with his stunning 86th-minute volley taking his tally to 18 goals in all competitions.
The popular former Reading number ten was also at the very heart of Aldershot’s celebrations this week.
