Ten-man Braintree Town put in another stellar home performance to edge National League play-off hopefuls Eastleigh.
Marley Marshall-Miranda justified a second successive start by firing the hosts ahead inside three minutes after John Akinde laid the ball off for the Spaniard on the edge of the visitors’ box.
Braintree’s Ryan Clampin was sent off seven minutes from time for two silly yellow cards – given for time-wasting and simulation – but the Iron held on for a huge three points in their fight against relegation.
