Regan Linney inspired Mark Hughes’ Carlisle United to a vital victory bragging rights over Robbie Savage’s Forest Green Rovers to move the Cumbrians up to second in the National League table.
Linney gave Carlisle the lead in the 18th minute, but Jayden Clarke equalised just eight minutes later.
Linney’s second gave Carlisle the lead again on the cusp of half-time, however, Forest Green bounced back through Harvey Bunker just after the break.
