Eastleigh FC have strengthened their defence for the 2025/26 National League season by signing Archie Harris on loan from Premier League side AFC Bournemouth.
The 20-year-old is the son of former Spitfires regular Andy Harris, who made 101 appearances for the club between 2006 and 2009.
Harris operates as a left-back and came through the ranks at Bournemouth, gaining senior experience during loan spells with Poole Town and Torquay United in 2023.
The Welsh defender impressed in the National League with the Gulls before a brief stint at Truro City during the 2023/24 National League South campaign, after which he returned to his parent club.

Excited
Now, he returns to the fifth tier of English football with Eastleigh and has shared his first thoughts on the move via the club’s official website.
He said: “I’m really excited to be here at Eastleigh and can’t wait to get started.
“It’s a great opportunity for me to continue developing and to contribute to a team that’s hungry for success.
“I’ve heard a lot of good things about the club and the fans, and I’m looking forward to showing what I can bring on the pitch.”
Harris becomes the club’s fifth summer signing, joining Temi Eweka, Aaron Blair, Nick Townsend, and Kieron Evans as the Spitfires continue to reinforce their squad under manager Kelvin Davis.
