In-form Eastleigh extended their unbeaten home run to five games as Aaron Blair netted the only goal against a depleted Carlisle United.
The Cumbrians were missing several key players through injury and illness, with boss Rob Elliot without the likes of Regan Linney, Brad Nicholson and club captain Morgan Feeney.
