FC Halifax Town fans have taken aim at their local council after a not-for-profit group withdrew its bid to buy The Shay.

FC Halifax Town fans have taken aim at their local council after a not-for-profit group withdrew its bid to buy The Shay.
Landlords and stadium operators Calderdale Council plan to sell the loss-making ground to Ken Davy who wants to temporarily relocate his Super League club Huddersfield Giants there alongside the Shaymen and Halifax’s own rugby league club, the Panthers.
The Shay is listed as an asset of community value (ACV), ensuring community groups had the right to pause the sale for six months in order to put together a rival bid.
