Boston United’s National League survival push took a knock after Hartlepool United brought an end to an eight-match run without a win in style.
The Pilgrims, who had won their last five away games and been unbeaten in six matches, only showed glimpses of the sort of performance that has sparked hopes of survival.
Hartlepool took advantage by scoring twice in the first half through strikers Gary Madine and Mani Dieseruvwe.
