Southend United boss Kevin Maher was delighted to see his side move to within three points of the National League play-offs with this win over Altrincham.
First-half goals from James Golding and Macauley Bonne saw the Shrimpers record all three points at Roots Hall.
Despite Regan Linney scoring for the Robins after the break, Southend held on for an important victory.
And Maher was full of praise for the performance.
