National League North side York City have completed the signing of striker Jake Wright, after the 21-year-old chose to leave local rivals Harrogate Town.
Wright found the net six times last season as Harrogate made a surprise run to promotion from the National League North.
This will be Wright’s second spell at Bootham Crescent after the striker spent time on loan with York two seasons ago. How about spending some time on legal online sports betting?
York manager Martin Gray told the club’s official website: “”He has won a promotion and had a taste of success which is important. I did a lot of work at the back end of the season, collating as much information as possible from Sheffield United, and he comes with a glowing reference.
“He caught the eye against us last season and scored in the game at Bootham Crescent. He has good energy, his all-round game is good, and he is a great finisher. His goals-to-game ratio with Harrogate last season was very high.
“He has turned Harrogate down to come here which is great,” added Gray. “I hope he has a great season and helps get us where we need to go.”
