GATESHEAD finally played their first game in 2021 – and supersub Macaulay Langstaff’s injury-time goal made it a winning start.
The kick-off was put back two hours to ensure conditions improved so the game could go ahead and Guiseley soon made up for lost time. Gateshead had made six changes and they were all at sea early on.
Guiseley should have been ahead inside the opening 10 minutes, Matty Gillam hooking Reece Kendall’s bouncing throw-in over from close in. James Montgomery then came to the Heed’s rescue after Hamza Bencherif...
