ALFIE MATTHEWS’ late penalty gave Braintree Town a deserved win over Worthing, who have suffered back-to-back defeats.
It was Worthing who started better with Ollie Pearce forcing Damian Niemczycki into a save before the Rebels went in front. Skipper Aarran Racine rose highest to meet a corner and planted his header past the keeper.
