Big gun Smith joins Lakeland

MORECAMBE boss Adam Lakeland has raided former club FC Halifax Town for centre-back Will Smith.
Smith, 27, arrives at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium with a wealth of experience across the National League and EFL, having enjoyed spells with Barnsley, Harrogate Town, Scunthorpe United, York City and the Shaymen for the last two seasons.
Smith said: “The size of the club is a big factor. I came in last week and the stadium is nice, it’s big. The club has got history, it’s got the feel of a proper football club.”
