RICAY CLAIM AUSSIE MATT

BILLERICAY Town boss Danny Scopes has made former Chatham Town winger Matty Macarthur his fifth summer signing.

Born in Sydney, Australia, Macarthur began life in the youth ranks at Western Sydney Wanderers FC before signing for Southampton at the age of 15.
Since leaving the Saints, Macarthur has appeared for a number of clubs including Gillingham, Farnborough, Dartford, Tonbridge Angels and Enfield Town.
The 21-year-old said: “I’m very excited, I can’t wait to get started.
“I can’t wait to meet the boys, it seems like a great club.”
