FC HALIFAX Town strengthened their play-off aspirations thanks to a narrow victory over lowly Alfreton Town, but manager Billy Heath has challenged his players to try and win the league ahead of their showdown with leaders AFC Fylde on Good Friday.
Tom Denton scored the only goal of the match to leave the Shaymen in third, seven points behind the Coasters who slipped to a surprising defeat at Stalybridge Celtic.
