NEWTON HIT LIFTS LAMBS BUT ROBINS SHOW FIGHT

DANNY NEWTON’S 29th goal of the season helped Tamworth complete a second-half comeback against relegated Altrincham.
The visitors, looking to impress new boss Phil Parkinson, led at halftime thanks to James Lawrie’s strike.
The Robins kept Tamworth keeper Dan Jezeph busy in the first 45 minutes as he thwarted Damian Reeves before making a double save to deny Lawrie and Laurence Taylor.
The Lambs upped their game and Newton’s low drive was blocked by Tim Deasy while Luke Jones had a header cleared off the line.
