AN INSPIRED firsthalf performance from Matty Warburton helped Stockport County halt a run of successive defeats to beat the in-form Minstermen.
Warburton got one and set up the other before going off after the break.
County boss Jim Gannon was delighted with the reaction of his players. He told The NLP:
“It was important we had a big performance, a big effort and a big result and I’m delighted for the lads because it has been a tough week for them and they dug deep and worked extremely hard.”
