SOUTHPORT turned on the style to register a fifth straight but there was an element of pain in the pleasure.
Jason Gilchrist set the Sandgrounders on their way with a brilliant strike to bring up his 24th goal of the season but was carried off early in the second half after injuring an ankle under the challenge of Steph Morley.
