A JARRAD Wright header inside two minutes settled this mid-table encounter and Merthyr will feel their performance merited a larger margin of victory.
They made a particularly fast start with Wright heading Ian Traylor’s inch perect cross home unmarked from 10 yards.
A long range effort from Adam Davies almost doubled their advantage when he rattled the woodwork before Merthyr’s young goalkeeper Ed Hewitson made a super save to keep Merthyr’s lead intact from Kyron Wiltshire.
