REECE BAGS WINNER AS PILGRIMS EASE FEARS

REECE Thompson’s well-taken early goal against Chorley relieved Boston’s fears of being dragged into a late survival scrap.
But this was desperately scrappy fare to set before a crowd of 1,022
Thompson beat the offside trap in the 10th minute and shrugged off two challenges before clipping the ball past Matt Urwin.
The balance of Chorley’s team was disturbed by injuries in quick succession to Josh Wilson and Khius Metz and they were grateful to Urwin who plunged to grab an inswinging corner at his near post.
