GLOUCESTER CITY took the spoils in this enthralling contest at the Jubilee Stadium with two fine strikes from Joe Hanks wrapping up the points.
The hosts had threatened early on when Fabian Roberts had a shot from just outside the box but it failed to trouble Chris Elliott in the Darlington goal.
The breakthrough came midway through the first half when Hanks skipped past his marker before tucking the ball home.
But the celebrations were cut short as the Quakers were back on level terms seven minutes later when Stephen Thompson’s cross was saved...
