DAN Maguire’s strike 20 seconds into the second half saw York move to the top of the table, with a hard-fought win over Kidderminster.
The Minstermen went two points clear at the summit at the expense of inactive King’s Lynn Town.
Harriers had the better of the first half but couldn’t convert their dominance into goals.
Milan Butterfield went close from a corner, and Sam Austin drew a save from Pete Jameson before Alex Penny’s follow-up shot was blocked.
