CHESTER earned their first win of the season in dramatic fashion.
The Blues, who were down to ten men after the dismissal of Danny Livesey, couldn’t hide their delight at the final whistle of this tempestuous match.
The first half was quite dull by comparison to the second, with home striker James Hardy’s goal after 30 minutes separating the sides. But Alfreton were a different proposition thereafter with striker Matt Rhead a constant threat.
