LEAMINGTON came out on top in the battle of the out of form sides, with two superb strikes either side of half-time enough for the Brakes.
Blyth’s worrying losing run was extended to seven after Leamington tasted victory for only the second time in nine outings to increase the pressure on Blyth boss Michael Nelson.
Callum Gittings fired an early warning for the hosts when he flashed a shot just wide, Jordan Hickey and JJ O’Donnell with half-chances at the other end.
