ADAM LAKELAND’S first game as Curzon Ashton manager ended in victory thanks to goals from Matt Waters and Dale Whitham.
After four minutes Waters put in a near-post cross that keeper Chris Neal looked to have covered but somehow the ball bounced into the net.
Curzon had the worse possible start to the second half when on 46 minutes Marcus Poscha brought down Nick Haughton on the edge of the box, the ref waved away any call for a penalty giving Fylde a free-kick.
Haughton stepped up and hit a wonderful shot seeing the ball come off under the crossba...
