GATESHEAD fought back from 3-1 down to defeat ten-man Farsley in a controversy-filled afternoon.
Jimmy Spencer’s dismissal at 3-2 proved to be a key moment, as the visitors kicked on to snatch all three points.
It was an end-to-end, high tempo opening to the game, but it took 25 minutes for the deadlock to be broken, when Paul Blackett beat the offside trap to slot home for Heed.
