STRUGGLING Kettering were brushed aside by Billy Heath’s Alfreton Town, thanks to goals from Matt Rhead and a Dayle Southwell penalty.
The in-form Reds got off to a flying start as talismanic number nine Rhead swept home a delicious low cross from midfield starlet Bailey Hobson on seven minutes.
They had the better of the opportunities in the first half and Poppies’ goalkeeper Harrison Foulkes, on-loan from Derby, could count himself lucky that he had only conceded the once.
